Mrs. Mary Alice Washburn Moore, 80, a resident of North College Street in Mt. Pleasant, died Monday, April 15, 2002 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Moore will be conducted Wednesday, April 17, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. at the Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Reverend Dennis W. Lewis and Martha Hull officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Lawrence County native was the daughter of the late Louis Washburn and Sarah Staggs Washburn Leland. She was a retired LPN in Pediatrics at Maury Regional Hospital. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Judy Leon Hunt of Columbia, TN and Linda Maynard Lewis of Mt. Pleasant, TN; 2 sons, Richard Alton Moore of Donelson, TN and Williams Anderson Moore of Canada; 2 sisters, Nettie Charles Shoemaker of Pine, AZ and Virgie Rone of Summerown, TN; a brother, Frank Washburn of Detroit, MI; 7 Grandchildren, Terry Wayne Lori Dial of Mt. Pleasant, TN, cathy Bernal of Spring Hill, TN, Alice Zubita of Nashville, TN, Felice Calderon of Columbia, TN, Amberlin Lewis of Waverly, TN, Maynard Adrian Lewis of Waverly, Tn, and Damien Lewis of Mt. Pleasant; 10 Great Grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Juanita Whitby; a granddaughter, Shelia Vandygriff; 2 great grandchildren.
