Mary E. Thornton, 86, resident of Spring Lane in Columbia, passed away Thursday, Aug. 12 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Born April 14, 1924 in Pontiac, MI, she was the daughter of the late Christopher and Nettie Bulman and the wife of the late Henry "Holly" Thornton. She was a homemaker who loved flowers, watching the butterflies, knitting and NASCAR.
She is survived by her daughters: Patricia Parrish of Columbia, Sharon Thornton of White Lake, MI and Wendy Morgan of Jacksonville, FL; a brother: Fred Bulman of Sarasota, FL.
