Melanie Dotson

Melanie Dotson, a beloved sister and friend, passed away on December 6, 2023, at NHC Maury in Columbia, Tennessee. 

She was born on April 28, 1978, to the late William and Mary Dotson. 

Melanie had a passion for fishing and spent many joyful hours by the water pursuing this favorite pastime. She brought warmth and kindness to those around her, earning her the reputation of a good sister and a good friend to all who had the privilege of knowing her. 

Melanie is survived by her brothers: David Fitzgerald of Columbia, Danny Fitzgerald, Donnie Fitzgerald, and Edward "Charlie" Fitzgerald. Together, they shared a bond of family that brought comfort and support to one another throughout the years. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at NHC Transitional for their exceptional kindness and compassion during Melanie's time there. The family appreciates the care and support provided during this difficult period. 

Melanie Dotson will be remembered fondly for her love of life, her caring nature, and the joy she brought to those fortunate enough to call her family or friend. May she rest in eternal peace.
