Melba Ann Jacobs passed away peacefully on November 30,2024, in Columbia, Tennessee. She was born on February 8, 1933 to the late Horace Raymond Massey and Nell High Massey in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee.
Melba's life was a testament to dedication and nurturing. As the heart of her family, she was always imparting lessons, teaching them the importance of hard work, love, and compassion. Melba had a green thumb, skillfully farming various crops including potatoes, tobacco, and soybeans, as well as raising cows and pigs. Her passion extended beyond agriculture; she also liked to sew and cook a meal for her beloved family. Her love for family extended to the simpler joys. She found delight in watching Wheel of Fortune and held a deep appreciation for reading.
She is survived by her beloved sister, Jeannie Tice, and a host of special nieces and nephews, including Stephanie Workman, T.J. (Brittany) Tice, and Jennifer Turner, along with many other nieces, nephews, and great-nieces who treasured their time with her.
Melba was preceded in death by her parents, Horace Raymond Massey and Nell High Massey, her Husband, Charles Jacobs, her brother, Joe Massey, as well as her special nephew, Charles Clark, and special niece, Brittany Workman.
