Michael William Henson, age 48, of Summertown, Tennessee, passed away on September 17, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, good times, and a knack for making anything with his hands. Born to the late William Wesley Henson and Kathy June Henson in Columbia, TN, Michael was a jack-of-all-trades but a carpenter at heart. Whether it was building, fixing, or just figuring things out, he was happiest when he had a hammer in one hand and an idea in his head.
Michael had a passion for the outdoors. If he wasn’t found fishing, camping, or grilling up something delicious with a cold beer in hand, he was likely trying to do all three at once. He appreciated the simple pleasures in life—great views, good friends, and a steady dose of nature.
A die-hard Tennessee Titans fan, Michael was known to never miss a game, always decked out in his Titans gear, ready to cheer (or shout) from the sidelines of his living room. His love for his team was only rivaled by his love for his family.
Michael is survived by his sons: Shane Henson, Nathan and daughter-in-law: Trista Jones, Devyn Henson, and Matthew Jones; his grandchildren: Aria Henson and Kaybree Jones; and his brother, Travis Henson.
