Michael "Mike" Beverly Moon, age 73, passed away peacefully following a lengthy illness on November 1, 2022, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.
Mike was born on April 17, 1949, in New Orleans, Louisiana to his parents, Lawrence William Moon and Nancy Sparks Moon.
He obtained his Bachelor's degree from the University of Alabama, Birmingham, and a Master's degree from Tulane University, and a PH.D. degree from Louisiana State University.
Mike served as Executive Director of the Louisiana State Council of Vocational and Technical Education in Baton Rouge for many years. He especially enjoyed his service as member of the Tulane University Alumni Board of Directors, President of the Baton Rouge chapter, and local admissions chairman.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence William Moon and Nancy Sparks Moon; sister: Mary Jane Moon; brother: Lawrence William Moon, Jr.
He is survived by his son: Patrick Chambers Moon and his spouse, Morgan; and grandson: Lincoln James Moon.
The family will observe a private memorial at a later date.
