Minnie Ruth Cox Chance, age 86, passed away June 25th, 2021, at her home from an extended illness. She was born on June 21st, 1935, and raised in Five Points, Tennessee in Lawrence County by her parents William Franklin Cox and Ethel May Cox.

Ruth attended Loretto High School where she met her husband, Bobby R. Chance, of 67 years. The family will receive family and friends on Sunday, June 27th, 2021 in the Chapel at Williams Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A service for Ruth will be held Monday, June 28th at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Heights Baptist Church with Bro. Bob Vassar officiating. Burial will follow at the Garden of Mark in Polk Memorial Gardens.
