Mrs. Myrtle Bishop, age 96, resident of Lawrenceburg, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at NHC/Lawrenceburg.
Born October 9, 1914 in Chester County, TN, daughter of the late Ron and Georgia Carroll Meek and the wife of the late Marvin Bishop. She was a retired nurse with Western State Hospital in Bolivar, TN, who loved cats and dogs and she was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by a nephew: Tony Johnson and wife Cathy of Lawrenceburg; a niece: Moline Harwell of Savannah, TN; great-nieces: Kim Grubb of Fort Worth, TX, Lora Clark and Tiffany Fisher, both of Lawrenceburg; 2 additional great-nieces and a great-nephew; 4 great-great-nieces and 3 great-great-nephews.
A memorial service for Mrs. Bishop will be conducted at a later date. Williams Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
