Nora Gross, 83, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025 at her home in Columbia, TN. Born and raised in Cannon County, Nora was the beloved daughter of the late Harrison and Lectie Patterson.
Nora lived a life filled with love, music, and dedication to her family and community. She worked for many years as a clerical administrative secretary, known for her diligence, warm personality, and willingness to lend a helping hand. Her kind spirit and steady presence left a lasting impact on those who worked alongside her.
A gifted and passionate singer, Nora found joy in music throughout her life. She was especially fond of singing in civic choirs, where her voice brought comfort and joy to many. When she wasn't singing, she found solace in reading a good book or settling in to enjoy a favorite movie. Her love for storytelling, whether through song or page, was a defining part of who she was.
Nora cherished time with her family above all. She delighted in traveling to visit her loved ones, especially in Kentucky and Maryland, and her visits were always filled with laughter, warmth, and sweet memories.
She is lovingly remembered by her sons, David (Laurie) Gross and Mark Gross; her grandchildren, Michelle (Tim) Fitzgerald, Christine (John) Thurston, and Blake (Marilyn) Gross; and her great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Cole, Cameron, and Ella.
Nora’s legacy of love, music, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
