Patricia Mai (Grooms) Fralix, born May 25, 1945, was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was defined by her love for her family, her strong work ethic, and her kind, caring and dependable spirit.
Patricia grew up in Columbia, Tennessee, and spent much of her life working hard and caring for those she loved. She worked for 31 years with AT&T as an operator before later spending 10 years with Family Advantage as a bank clerk. Patricia was someone her family knew they could always count on. Whether they needed a helping hand, a listening ear, or simply to hear the words, “I love you,” Patricia was there.
In her spare time, Patricia enjoyed the simple things that brought her happiness. She loved playing bingo, cheering on her favorite baseball team, the Atlanta Braves, and, most of all, spending time with her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and the time she shared with them created memories they will carry with them always.
Patricia demonstrated tremendous strength throughout her life, enduring a long and hard battle with breast cancer. Through the challenges she faced, she remained deeply loved and surrounded by those who meant the most to her.
Patricia is survived by her son, Michael David (Amy) Fralix; grandchildren, Paige Michelle (Tyler) Fralix, Brittany (Terry) Davis, Ethan (Vanessa) Fralix, and Gabriel Fralix; great-grandchildren, Jayceon, Ilijaha, David, Evie, Theodore, Lincoln; sister, Billie Jean Owens; brothers, , Arnold (Patricia) Grooms, Charles Robert (Nancy) Grooms, and Tony Allen (Beverly) Grooms; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Burt Fralix; her parents, Roy Eugene Grooms and Mary Etta (England) Grooms; and siblings, Danny (Doris) Grooms,Roy Wayne (Betty) Grooms
Patricia will be remembered for her strength, her devotion to her family, and the love she so freely gave throughout her life. Her family will especially cherish the reassurance found in words they heard from her so often: “I love you truly, truly I do.”
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 31, 2026, from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee.
