Patricia Jean Kelley

Patricia Kelley, 87, of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, passed away on May 4, 2023. Born on January 4, 1936 in Robbs, Illinois, Patricia was the daughter of Ruby and Cecil Martin, both of whom preceded her in death.

Patricia was a devoted homemaker, but also worked in various clerical roles for many years. She supported her husband, Donald Kelley, throughout his college education and as he attained his master’s degree.

Patricia was very active in her church and community. She was a longtime member of Central Church in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, and Aspen Grove in Franklin, Tennessee. She was an avid volunteer, working with Room in the Inn, numerous soup kitchens, and Meals on Wheels. She was known for her generosity, often helping to watch neighborhood children.

Patricia will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Patricia has been reunited with her husband of 67 years, Donald Kelley; brother: Donald Martin; and parents: Cecil and Ruby Martin.

Patricia leaves behind to cherish her memory: children, Steven (Patty) Kelley and Lori (Steve) Cross; her grandchildren, Amber (Chris) Carter, Nathan Cross, Ryan Kelley, Kelly (Cody) Street, and great-grandchildren, Noah Carter, Jameson Carter, Macie Street, and Maddie Street whom she loved dearly.
