Paul Thomas, age 87, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee.

Born on November 8, 1938, in Walthall, Mississippi, Paul was the son of the late James Thomas and Ruth Creel Thomas.

Paul was a good man through and through—loyal, wild-hearted, and always ready with a laugh. He lived life on his own terms and carried the spirit of a cowboy wherever he went. He spent many years building power lines, taking pride in hard work and providing for those he loved. When he wasn't working, Paul could often be found talking about old Ford trucks, sharing stories, or enjoying the simple pleasures of life.

Above all else, Paul cherished his family. He shared 49½ wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Judy Thomas. Together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and memories that will be treasured for generations.

He leaves behind his devoted wife, Judy Thomas; children, Paula Kay, Eddie, Ken, Sandy, Renee, John Paul, Darryl, and Stephanie; siblings, Gordon, George, Silas, and Ruthie Lee; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and friends who will deeply miss him.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brother, Charlie, and granddaughter, Sherri. 

A memorial gathering to celebrate Paul's life will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee.

Paul's legacy of hard work, unwavering loyalty, humor, and love for his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
