Peggy Creveling, age 78, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026, at NHC in Columbia, Tennessee.
Born on July 5, 1947, Peggy was the daughter of the late Joseph and Pauline Scalercio. Throughout her life, Peggy found joy in the simple pleasures that brought her happiness and comfort. She had a lifelong love for animals and a gentle heart that reflected her caring nature. One of her favorite things was enjoying chicken strips, a small but familiar comfort she never tired of.
Peggy loved taking trips to the casino, where she especially enjoyed playing the slot machines. Some of her most cherished memories were made along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, a place she truly enjoyed returning to whenever she could. She also had an appreciation for classic cars and took pleasure in attending car shows, admiring the beauty and craftsmanship of each vehicle.
Above all else, Peggy’s greatest joy was her family. She shared 57 devoted years of marriage with her loving husband, John Creveling. Together, they built a life centered on love, companionship, and family. Peggy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and she treasured the time spent with those she loved most.
She is survived by her husband, John Creveling; her children, Charlene (Todd) Benson and Daniel Creveling; and her beloved grandchildren, Emily, Joseph, and Isabella Benson, who brought her endless pride and joy.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by those who welcomed her home.
