Ricky Frazier, age 53, of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee, passed away on September 8, 2025 in Giles County, Tennessee. He was born on November 30, 1971, in Columbia, Tennessee, to the late Robert and Ruby Frazier.
Ricky’s greatest pride and joy in life was his family, especially his wife, daughters and grandchildren. He loved being Papa to his grandchildren. He cherished riding horses with his daughter Haleigh and talking about hunting with his sons-in-law. Friday nights often found him out ranger riding, and afterward, he loved sitting by a bonfire, taking in the peace of nature. Ricky also had a deep love for music and was a proud member of the Frazier Band. He never missed an opportunity to share stories of his beloved parents, Robert and Ruby, whom he loved dearly.
He lived a life full of energy and passion. Ricky enjoyed coaching, kayaking, and spending time on the river. To know him was to love him—he was the life of the party, always ready to lend a helping hand, and he never met a stranger. He had a positive spirit, encouraged everyone around him, and offered constant advice and love to his daughters. He was also deeply proud of his accomplishments, including serving as a firefighter, vice mayor, and commissioner for the city of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee, as well as a supervising manager at A-Z Office Resources. Even though he did not complete high school, Ricky’s determination and drive led him to achieve so much in his life, including fulfilling his dream of owning his home on the hill of his farm.
One of Ricky’s most treasured relationships was with his nephew, Drew Frazier. The bond they shared was one of love, laughter, and deep connection, and Ricky carried Drew close to his heart. Ricky also held a special place in his heart for his great-niece and great-nephew, Kenna and Kase, whom he lovingly raised as his own.
Ricky leaves behind his loving wife, Dena Frazier; his children, KaLeigh (Bubba) Clifton and HaLeigh (Matthew) Peterson; and his cherished grandchildren, Kixx Clifton, Kamreigh Clifton, and Jentry Peterson. He is also survived by his siblings, Robbie (Tammie) Frazier, Ronnie (Leigh) Frazier, Rita Hughes, and Randy (Dawn) Frazier; his mother-in-law, Viola Odom; special friends: Brandy and Ron Rochelle; and several nieces and nephews.
He is reunited with his parents, Robert and Ruby Frazier; his sister, Rhonda Frazier; brothers-in-law, Chris Hughes and Kenny Odom; father-in-law, Stanley Odom; nephew, Drew Frazier; and great-nephew, David Christopher “Trey” Hughes III.
Pallbearers will be Bubba Clifton, Matthew Peterson, Sean Barnes, Jeff Byrd, Mickey Ray Hodge, Joey Peden, Michael Odom, Kase Sharpe, Christopher Hughes, and Jeffrey Frazier. Honorary pallbearers will be Butch and Julia West, along with Ricky’s colleagues at A-Z Office Resources.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. A celebration of Ricky’s life will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 1:00 PM, also at Williams Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Arlington Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.
Ricky’s legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
