Sara Lucy Dale

Sara Lucy Dale, age 84, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025, at her home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. She was born on August 14, 1941, in Maury County, Tennessee, to the late Thomas Sydney Norman and Eunice Logue Norman.

Sara Lucy Dale was an amazing caregiver who devoted her life to loving and caring for her family. Her home was a place of comfort, warmth, and home-cooked meals, as she especially loved cooking for those she cherished. She found joy in simple pleasures—tending to her yard, particularly raking leaves, working word puzzles, and browsing Goodwill for treasured finds. Her gentle spirit, strong work ethic, and giving heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Debby Faye Chapman (Nickey); her grandson, Steven (Marianne) Boshers; special sons, Tim Chapman and Brandon Bassham (Keyta); granddaughters, Malinda Chapman, Emily (James Chase) Pipkin, and Nicole Chapman; great-grandchildren, Landyn Boshers, Chaslen, James Edward, Maverick Glendale, Daesyn Jeremiah, and Harper Mae; her sister, Faye Woods; and her special friend and devoted caregiver, Lisa Whitwell; as well as special friends: Vickey and Robbie Ingram and Katie York.

Sara Lucy Dale is preceded in death by her husband: Charles Dale; parents: Thomas Sydney Norman and Eunice Logue Norman; and brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home. Sara Lucy will be laid to rest at Arlington Cemetery in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee.

Pallbearers will be Fletcher Lindsey, Matt Hayes, Michael Jacobs, Dodd Garrett, Sidney Thompson, John Robert Chapman, David Smith, and Eddie Bassham.

Sara Lucy’s legacy of love, care, and kindness will live on through her family and all those whose lives she touched.
