Sharon Melton, 67, went to be with the Lord on April 18, 2022, after a long battle with cancer.
Sharon was born on September 18, 1954, to Gordon and Margie Melton in Honolulu, HI. She lived many years of her life in San Jose, California with her parents and sister. She eventually, met and married the father of her three children and her dear friend, Francisco Garcia. She later moved, spending the majority of her life in Carson City, Nevada, and Lake Havasu, AZ, where she found joy in her favorite pastime, Bingo! Her yearly Bingo trips with her mother, sister, and daughter were one of the highlights of her life and she spoke very fondly of those trips in her last days. Ultimately, the final moments of her life were spent on her daughter’s farm in Tennessee where she enjoyed sitting in the sunshine, coloring, and playing with the farm animals.
She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother. She is survived by her daughters: Veronica Garcia and Christina (Nick) Baum; son: Miguel (Gina) Garcia; her sister: Beverly (Ron) Quetano; and her seven grandchildren.
Our prayer is that she is reunited with her parents today in Heaven, playing the best Bingo card she’s ever had.
