Shelia Baty, age 77, passed away peacefully in her home on May 7, 2026 in Summertown. She was born on June 25, 1948 in Adrian to the late Edward and Delores Sneary.

Shelia was a woman with a strong spirit and a natural gift for leadership. She liked things done right and was often the one organizing, planning, and lovingly keeping everyone in line. Her family knew her as someone who always took charge with confidence and care.

She found great joy in gardening and tending to her flowers, creating beauty wherever she went. Traveling was one of her greatest passions, and throughout her life she visited 48 of the 50 states, always eager to see new places and make new memories. Above all else, Shelia treasured her family and especially cherished her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother.

She leaves behind her loving children, David and Jamie; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren who will continue to carry her love and memory forward.

Shelia is reunited in peace with her parents, Edward and Delores Sneary and husband: Jim Baty. 

Her memory will forever bloom in the hearts of those who loved her.
