It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Terri Lynn Pinkston, who departed this world on Saturday, October 21, 2023, peacefully at her home in Columbia, Tennessee.

Terri was born on July 12, 1957, in Columbia, Tennessee to Betty Nichols Rodgers and the late Charles Wayne Rodgers. Terri was the oldest of the three siblings in the Rodgers family. Her brothers are Charles Wayne “Chuck” Rodgers Jr. and Guy Lanson (Aimee) Rodgers. Survived by sister-in-law Carla Morrow, Nieces Ansley (Josh) Kimberly, Amanada (Roscoe) Voss, and nephew Archie Manson (Ashley) Morrow III and several great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by father and mother in-law Carl and Alma Pinkston and brother-in-law A. Manson “Buddy” Morrow II.

Terri married David Carl Pinkston in 1977 and graduated from Central High School in Columbia, TN, Class of 1975.

She began her almost 40 year career with Tennessee Farm Bureau retiring in 2015 from their Tennessee Rural Health division as Corporate Secretary and VP Investments. Over her career with TRH, she implemented the Information Technology area along with overseeing major projects that elevated the business operations. Her passion for her job was evident to all who knew her, and she left an indelible mark on her colleagues and entire community through her hard work and dedication.

Above all, Terri was known for her profound love and devotion to her family. She was always there to offer her guidance, support, love with family at the center of her heart. Terri was a remarkable woman who could best be described as thoughtful, kind and loving. She had an innate ability to make anyone she encountered feel special and her warmth and generosity touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Terri volunteered her time at Maury County Animal Shelter and Neighbors Concerned Food Pantry. Terri also enjoyed life at the river and cooking. But her love of her family, her husband David and her beloved labradoodle, Piper, took precedent over everything else.
