Thomas Edward Simons

Thomas Edward Simons, 78, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025. A loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, loyal friend, and lifelong car enthusiast, Tom lived a life marked by quiet strength, unwavering dedication, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys that mattered most.

Tom retired from General Motors in 2009 after a long and fulfilling career. In retirement, he found joy in antique cars, often surrounded by fellow enthusiasts from his beloved car club. He cherished those friendships, and the many hours spent under the hood or on the road, sharing stories, laughter, and a mutual love for craftsmanship.

Above all, Tom treasured time with his grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and joy. Whether offering gentle advice, sharing stories from years past, or simply being present, he was a steady and loving presence in their lives.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. Tom asked that his family and friends remember him in their own way—perhaps during a quiet drive, a gathering with loved ones, or while admiring a well-kept classic car.

He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Thomas is survived by his wife: Antoinette "Toni" Simons, married for 47 years and his children: Amanda (Jason Richardson) Roland of Columbia, Pam Simons of Las Vegas, and Lisa Simons of Austin; grandchildren: Mallory Roland, Jake Roland, and Sachi Simons; siblings: Robert (Cheri Falardeau) Simons of Ohio and Jack (Peg) Simons of Utah; nieces and nephews: Jim Simons, Jennifer Simons, Jessica Tullio, Allyson Otto, Michael Nelson, and Kim Nelson. Thomas is preceded in death by his son Tom Simons, brother Jim Simons, niece Maggie Simons, and nephew Steven Conley.
