Timothy Rountree

Timothy Blake (Tim) Rountree, 62, passed away at his new home on December 16, 2025 in Hixson, Tennessee. He was born in Columbia TN, and grew up in Mt. Pleasant.

He had a PhD in Theology and enjoyed talking about his faith with anyone who would listen. He really missed the church family at Graymere Church of Christ after he moved to Hixson TN last year. It was really hard to replace the friends and fellowship he had there.

A wonderful, kind, and intelligent man who enjoyed life. He had for a long time been “fixing” computers for people. Sometimes even for free for people who couldn’t afford to take their machine anywhere for help. It didn’t matter if it was a hardware issue or Windows related he could almost always find the answer to whatever was happening.

He had become an avid Ping Pong/Table Tennis player and made many new friends among that community. He was always the first one to invite new players to join him in a game at the Smash n’Go Table Tennis Club in Rivergate Mall, sometimes when they couldn’t even keep the ball in play. He had become quite successful in the few years he has played, competing in the State Senior Olympics and even the National Senior Games.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Melba Rountree, and his sister in law Lori Rountree and niece Adrien Rountree. He is survived by his brother Dennis (Helen) Rountree.

We will celebrate his life Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
