Mr. Walter Delano Himes, 59, a resident of Overton Drive in Columbia, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at his home.
Funeral services for Mr. Himes will be conducted Friday, June 10, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rick Points officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 3:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Born in Maury County, he was the son of Walter A. Himes and Nettie Mae Ratliff Henson. Mr. Himes was a member of the Grace Nazarene Church in Columbia.
He is survived by a daughter, Deborah Lynn Himes- Pugh of Detroit, MI ; one son Chris Himes of Hohenwald, TN; dearest friend and special loved one, Linda Kaye Hedrick of Columbia; three grandchildren, Dylan Himes of Hohenwald, TN, Mykala Pugh and Kameron Pugh both of Detroit, MI; one sister, Annice Gately of Bruceton, TN; two half sisters, Cecilia King of Columbia, TN and Marie Himes of Florida; two half brothers, Gene Rhinehart of Dayton, OH and Ivan Rhinehart of Hohenwald, TN.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
