Wanda Stewart, age 77, passed away on December 3, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee. She was born on January 1, 1948, to the late James and Ruby Collins.
Wanda was known for her giving heart and her warm, welcoming nature—she truly never met a stranger. She had a lively spirit and could rarely be found sitting still. Whether she was caring for her beloved chickens, working around the house, or lending a hand to someone in need, Wanda was always in motion, always doing, always giving.
A talented cook, she poured love into every meal. Her family eagerly awaited her famous turkey and dressing each holiday, a dish that brought everyone together and reminded them of the warmth and joy she carried into every gathering. Wanda’s deep love for her family was unmatched, and she took pride in being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She also had a special place in her heart for her dogs, Lily and Bella, who were her constant companions and brought her endless comfort and joy.
Wanda is survived by her loving husband, Billy Floyd Stewart; her daughters, Barbara (Jeff) Heatherly, Melissa (Alvin) Morrow, and Katie Stewart; grandchildren: Tim Colvett, Dylan Powell, and Weston Morrow; and five great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Ruby Collins, and her siblings, Charles Collins and Joanne Collins.
Wanda will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her kindness, energy, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee.
